ANZAC Day Results
St George Sailing Club finished its 2023/24 season with its annual ANZAC Day Race with a healthy southeast breeze providing great runs for the boats on the water. With most classes on the water including some visiting Scow Moths and sailboards taking advantage of the late season sailing, a Handicap start for most classes provided an opportunity for mid to back fleet boats to get in the mix for the win.
Plenty of smiles and laughs were had by those on the water with First State Lending sailed by Sam Fetherston winning the 16ft Skiffs race and taking home the 53rd Ack Ack Trophy, in honour of our soldiers.
In the MG14 fleet, Greg Junk sailing on Seabreeze proved a class above, sailing through the fleet to take the win.
It was a great day to finish up a successful year for our sailors and honour our soldiers on Anzac Day.
